Drifted Fest Is Bringing House and Techno to Downtown Dallas This Halloween

Dallas is getting ready for two events centered around house, techno, emerging talent, and the growing electronic music community behind it. Drifted Fest returns for its second edition on October 31, 2026, moving from its inaugural Fort Worth event to Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in downtown Dallas. Before Halloween arrives, Road to Drifted will take over Deep Ellum Art Company on October 17, bringing together the artists who will help shape the festival lineup itself. Together, the two events create a path from the local dance floor to one of the biggest stages of the weekend.

What Is Drifted Fest?

Presented by Techno Ka House, Drifted Fest is a house and techno focused music festival taking place Halloween night at Strauss Square in the heart of Dallas. The festival will feature three different environments throughout the day: the Main Stage, Techno Bunker, and Silent Disco, giving attendees the opportunity to move between different sounds and styles before the entire festival comes together for the closing performance. The Main Stage lineup includes Bart Skils, Charles B Featuring Orchestra, Moguai, Moritz Hofbauer, Oscar L, Wave Wave, John Wayne, Willie Trimmer, and Project Ka.

One of the most distinctive moments of the night will come at the end of the festival, when Charles B takes the stage with a live orchestra for a closing performance that brings electronic music and live instrumentation together. The Techno Bunker and Silent Disco will both wrap at 9:30 PM, bringing the crowd together for the final Main Stage set.

Before the Festival Comes Road to Drifted

Two weeks before Drifted Fest, the focus turns to the artists who will become part of the Halloween event. Road to Drifted takes place October 17 at Deep Ellum Art Company and features a lineup of artists competing for placement across Drifted Fest’s Main Stage, Techno Bunker, and Silent Disco. Every artist performing at Road to Drifted will move forward to the festival, with the October 17 event determining where they will ultimately perform. Gold Lemonade is set to headline and close the night, making Road to Drifted more than a traditional pre-party. Fans get to see the artists before their festival placements are determined and experience the community being built around Drifted from the ground up.

Three Stages, Three Different Experiences

Drifted Fest is designed to give attendees more than one way to experience the music. The Main Stage serves as the centerpiece, bringing together international touring artists, larger festival moments, and the closing live orchestra performance. The Techno Bunker moves into a darker, more underground side of the lineup, while the Silent Disco creates another environment entirely, allowing fans to move between different DJs and sounds throughout the day. At 9:30 PM, both additional stages will close as the festival comes together for the final Charles B performance, giving Drifted something many multi stage festivals do not always have: a shared ending where the entire event converges into one experience.

Halloween in Downtown Dallas

Drifted Fest lands directly on Halloween, bringing the event into one of the biggest nightlife weekends of the year. The festival takes place at Strauss Square at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in downtown Dallas and is a 18+ event, creating a full day and night of electronic music in the center of the city. Dress to impress in your best Halloween gear!

The Official Afterparty

The experience is expected to continue after the final set, with the Lorenzo Hotel set to host the official Drifted Fest afterparty. For attendees traveling into Dallas, the Lorenzo also offers a nearby accommodation option, making it possible to turn Drifted into a full Halloween weekend rather than a single festival day.

A Festival Built With Its Community

One of the more interesting parts of Drifted Fest is how many ways there are to become part of the event beyond simply buying a ticket. Road to Drifted gives artists a direct path onto the festival stages, while the festival itself brings developing talent into the same environment as established international artists. Fans and community members can also participate through Drifted’s promoter program, helping introduce new audiences to the event while earning rewards such as free tickets and cash based on their participation. For people who are already sharing dance music, bringing friends to events, or helping grow the local scene, it creates another way to become part of the festival community.

Why Drifted Matters

At its core, Drifted brings several parts of electronic music culture into the same space: international touring artists, emerging talent, local DJs, underground techno, house music, silent disco, live instrumentation, and a community that gets to play a role in shaping what happens onstage. Road to Drifted starts that story on October 17, and Drifted Fest brings it together on Halloween. By the time Charles B takes the stage for the final performance of the night, three separate festival spaces will have become one crowd.

Walking into The Concourse Project for the start of Indo Warehouse’s Spice Trade Tour, I already knew I was in for something different. Before the show, I had the chance to sit down with Indo Warehouse and learn how they have built a community around South Asian dance music, creating space for a sound and culture that had not always had that representation in the dance music world. Desi Vibe Tribe also played an important role in bringing the Austin event together. The collective continues to bring world music to the city, from South Asian sounds to a wider range of global influences. I love seeing more of that becoming part of Austin’s musical landscape. Music is always evolving and diversifying, and that is part of what makes it so powerful. Just like food, wine, art, or travel can introduce us to another culture, music can transport us somewhere completely different without ever leaving the room. The Spice Trade Tour builds on that idea, drawing inspiration from the historic exchange of cultures, sounds, textiles, spices, and traditions across South Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. Indo Warehouse brings those influences into a modern dance music setting, creating something rooted in culture while still looking forward.

From the moment Goshfather walked into the room, the energy shifted. With his iconic red jacket, larger than life personality, and an unmistakable love for music, he brought the kind of presence that makes people lean in before the conversation even begins. For this episode of Redefining Music, we invited a small audience of DJs and producers to join us for the live experience. They listened, asked questions, and became part of a conversation that felt less like a traditional interview and more like a room full of artists reminding one another why they started. There was laughter. There were hard truths. There were stories of failure, reinvention, and persistence. More than anything, there was honesty. Goshfather has a way of speaking that makes you feel like anything is possible, as long as you are willing to stop waiting, trust what you love, and finish the work.

The Electronic Dance Music Awards had a new home in 2026. For the first time the ceremony landed at The Clevelander South Beach on Ocean Drive, right in the middle of Miami Music Week and just ahead of Ultra weekend. The energy was different in the best way. No stiff award show format. No long acceptance speeches. Winners came up, grabbed their Deck trophy, and the party kept moving. Amplify EDM was on the red carpet. Kay Cote and Ay Kaye were out there the whole night catching artists as they came through.
