Kay Cote is a podcaster, speaker, vocalist, and the Founder & CEO of Amplify EDM, an Austin-based artist development and music media platform that helps artists grow through education, storytelling, and visibility.
At the heart of Kay's work is her voice. A natural storyteller and interviewer, she has built her career around creating meaningful conversations, capturing pivotal moments, and amplifying the stories shaping the dance music space. After producing and hosting her first weekly radio show in 2019, she transitioned into podcasting and has since produced nearly 800 episodes and counting.
As a podcaster for Business Spotlight, Kay has interviewed entrepreneurs from around the world. As the creator and host of Redefining Music — formerly AMPEDCast — she has produced and hosted a live monthly show since August 2024, spotlighting EDM artists through in-depth conversations paired with a live music experience. Each event blends artist storytelling, community connection, and DJ performance, creating a fresh format that highlights both the person and the performance behind the music.
Kay has covered Miami Music Week for two years in a row. In 2025, she attended Winter Music Conference, and in 2026, she was part of Shift Miami, podcasting on the red carpet and interviewing dance music industry leaders and notable artists. She is especially passionate about documenting monumental moments in an artist's journey and using media to strengthen the dance music community through stories, news, and cultural conversation.
Through Amplify EDM, Kay helps artists build their platforms through education and media while also creating spaces for connection, performance, and growth. She is known as a connector in the dance music community and a voice for artists navigating the industry with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.
As an artist herself, Kay is also a vocalist collaborating with dance music producers to create original tracks. She made her live vocal debut at Dazzle in December 2025, an event she organized and produced. Her sound is upbeat and soulful, with lyrics that are deep, inspiring, and transcendent, carried by a voice marked by warmth and vibrato.
