Walking into The Concourse Project for the start of Indo Warehouse’s Spice Trade Tour, I already knew I was in for something different. Before the show, I had the chance to sit down with Indo Warehouse and learn how they have built a community around South Asian dance music, creating space for a sound and culture that had not always had that representation in the dance music world. Desi Vibe Tribe also played an important role in bringing the Austin event together. The collective continues to bring world music to the city, from South Asian sounds to a wider range of global influences. I love seeing more of that becoming part of Austin’s musical landscape. Music is always evolving and diversifying, and that is part of what makes it so powerful. Just like food, wine, art, or travel can introduce us to another culture, music can transport us somewhere completely different without ever leaving the room. The Spice Trade Tour builds on that idea, drawing inspiration from the historic exchange of cultures, sounds, textiles, spices, and traditions across South Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. Indo Warehouse brings those influences into a modern dance music setting, creating something rooted in culture while still looking forward.

From the moment Goshfather walked into the room, the energy shifted. With his iconic red jacket, larger than life personality, and an unmistakable love for music, he brought the kind of presence that makes people lean in before the conversation even begins. For this episode of Redefining Music, we invited a small audience of DJs and producers to join us for the live experience. They listened, asked questions, and became part of a conversation that felt less like a traditional interview and more like a room full of artists reminding one another why they started. There was laughter. There were hard truths. There were stories of failure, reinvention, and persistence. More than anything, there was honesty.  Goshfather has a way of speaking that makes you feel like anything is possible, as long as you are willing to stop waiting, trust what you love, and finish the work.

Through a conversation backstage at Kingdom Nightclub, Marsh opened up about Marshan Records, creative freedom, writer’s block, and the feeling that keeps artists coming back to the music.

The Electronic Dance Music Awards had a new home in 2026. For the first time the ceremony landed at The Clevelander South Beach on Ocean Drive, right in the middle of Miami Music Week and just ahead of Ultra weekend. The energy was different in the best way. No stiff award show format. No long acceptance speeches. Winners came up, grabbed their Deck trophy, and the party kept moving. Amplify EDM was on the red carpet. Kay Cote and Ay Kaye were out there the whole night catching artists as they came through. 

Miami Music Week has always been the week the dance music world shows up. But 2026 felt different.
