KAY COTE

FOUNDER | CHIEF EXPERIENCE OFFICER

Kay is multifaceted in both the media and music entertainment industries. She is skilled in branding, communications and small business. Kay has a background in live radio, podcasting, writing for publications and has acted in commercials and a movie.

Kay grew up in the performing arts as a vocalist, actress and dancer. Her life mission is to create a platform for artists to thrive in a community which supports them, which inspired her to be the founder of Amplify EDM.

Fun Fact: I went to LA for acting and got roles in one movie and numerous commercials.

What music means to me: Music has been a part of my life ever since I was 3 years old glued to the tv watching Liberace. As soon I could walk and talk, I was singing and dancing. I believe in the healing powers of music and community, which is the inspiration behind Amplify EDM.

EVAN LIGHT (NO LIGHT THING)

CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

Evan is multifaceted in areas of IT, live production, and the entertainment industry.

His determination for excellence to see through people and into the heart of their creativity is what makes him glow.

Evan is also a DJ and Radio Host under the name No Light Thing. Between the work of discovering new music from around the world and making sure the world hears it, it was a easy choice to have him as Chief Strategy Officer for Amplify EDM.

JUSTIN JACKSON

ONLINE COMMUNITY MANAGER

With a strong background in nonprofit work, Justin has honed expertise in creating compelling narratives and engaging campaigns that drive meaningful change.

Fun Fact: I have a podcast about the Yu-Gi-Oh Card Game

What music means to me: Music is his constant companion, with his earphones always in, providing a soundtrack to his life. It is a refuge during tough times, helping him navigate challenging days. Music is not just a hobby; it's a powerful force that shapes his world and fuels his passion for creating meaningful, community-focused initiatives.

CARLO FREDERICO

EVENT & CREATIVE DIRECTION ASSISTANT

Having lifetime experience with event organizing and coordinating, Carlo seeks to create experiences that encourage human connection and expression. Driven by curiosity, Carlo seeks to explore the world, each other, and ourselves, and wants to enable other people to explore as well. He has lived in many places throughout the United States but moved to Austin to explore avenues of art and self-expression. 

Fun Fact: Carlo studied wildlife biology in grad school and is a published scientist.

What music means to me: Music is a deep form of expression that has been a big part of my life. It gives form to experiences and emotions. It fuels creativity and human connection and has allowed me to explore the diversity of our world.
