Kay Coté is an Austin based electronic vocalist, songwriter, performer and music industry entrepreneur whose work brings together music, storytelling and community. Her debut original release, “Take Me Higher,” marks the beginning of a new chapter as she steps forward as a recording artist after years of building platforms and opportunities for others in music.

As the founder of Amplify EDM, an artist development and incubation platform, Kay works with emerging artists to strengthen their brands, careers and opportunities within the industry. She is also the host of Redefining Music Media, where conversations with artists and industry leaders have given her a unique perspective on the creative and business sides of building a sustainable career in music.

Kay brings more than a decade of experience in branding, marketing, entrepreneurship, creative direction and public speaking to her artistry. A graphic designer by training, she previously built a creative studio and an apparel company whose products were carried by one of North Dakota’s largest retailers. That background now gives her a strong understanding of how music, visual identity, merchandise, storytelling and audience development work together.

In December 2025, Kay collaborated with DJ and producer Amenti to create “Take Me Higher” for Dazzle, an event she created, curated and produced at The One in downtown Austin. Highlighting Austin musicians, DJs and visual artists, the event sold more than 150 tickets and marked Kay’s debut performing her own original music.

“Take Me Higher” is the catalyst for a growing catalog of original music and collaborations as Kay continues developing her sound and building toward a larger body of work rooted in transformation, aliveness and finding your way back to yourself.

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Produced more than 60 electronic music events in Austin, Texas
• Curated lineups and worked with more than 100 artists across live events, media and artist development
• Interviewed nationally and internationally recognized electronic artists through Redefining Music Media
• Covered the 2026 EDM Awards red carpet, interviewing artists and industry professionals on site
• Founder of Amplify EDM, an artist development and incubation platform supporting emerging artists
• Created and produced Dazzle in downtown Austin, selling more than 150 tickets for Kay Coté’s debut performance of original music
